DODGE - Viper
The Viper RT/10 is the classic "wind in your hair" roadster. Defined as the quintessential American sports car: big-block engine, fast, loud and untamed. Who can argue? When Dodge Viper exploded onto the street in 1992, it came with a clear presence and vision. Since then, there have been many modifications. The RT/10 has 400+ HP, overmatched steamroller tires (P335 35 r17), and looks that can kill. The arresting-looking car with nothing else to brag about but a mammoth engine, into what feels like a finished piece of work that you could only hope to drive regularly, instead of just on sunny Sundays.

2006 Viper Features
 Power

Viper SRT10's aluminum-block 8.3-liter V10 engine delivers a staggering 510 horsepower and 535 lb-ft of torque. That means 0 to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds, an estimated top speed of 190 mph on the test track, and completion of the signature SRT 0-100-0 mph test in just over 12 seconds. Translation: Buckle up and hold on.
Handling Breaking
Viper SRT10 is one solid performer. An amazingly stout structure in roadster form—made even more torsionally rigid with the addition of the coupe's double-bubble roof-and lightweight aluminum fully independent suspension combine to deliver 1.05 g of razor-sharp handling on the road or on the track. World-class braking components deliver benchmark stopping performance. Brembo™ four-piston aluminum calipers and massive 335-millimeter vented discs slow Viper SRT10 from 60 to 0 mph in less than 100 feet. Standard four-wheel antilock brakes with brake assist brings the fun to an eye-popping standstill by helping prevent wheel lockup in extreme braking or slippery conditions.
 Cock Pit
Strap yourself into the Viper SRT10 Coupe cockpit, grab hold of the leather-wrapped steering wheel and six-speed shifter, and prepare for liftoff. Satin chrome accents and leather trimming throughout the cabin add a touch of class and comfort to what is fundamentally a race car for the street. It only takes one glance at the 220-mph speedometer and 7,000-rpm center-mounted tachometer to understand Viper SRT10's true performance potential. The full racing instrumentation also features gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and voltage. Reclining leather-trimmed performance front buckets and adjustable pedals (including a dead pedal) ensure maximum driver comfort and control at all times. The coupe design provides an additional 4 cubic feet of useable trunk space compared to the roadster—perfect for storing your extra racing gear.
  Exterior

The menacing head of Viper SRT10 gives way to muscular lines, swept-back fenders, and deep-cut side scallops that continue the tradition of aggressive Viper styling. Viper SRT10 Roadster features a fully convertible clamshell-design top with glass rear window, tonneau cover, and convenient single-latch operation. The new Viper SRT10 Coupe ups the emotional ante with a sloping double-bubble roofline with clearance for racing helmets and unique rear fascia featuring wraparound tail lamps and decklid spoiler for increased downforce and high-speed stability.
